Dr. Chez has practiced Emergency Medicine in the North Lake Tahoe area for over thirty-five years. He is the founder and Medical Director of Gateway Urgent Care in Truckee which he opened in 1995.
Dr. Chez graduated from the University of Minnesota where he was an All American tennis player. He attended medical school at St. Louis University and completed an internship/residency in surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. He became a member of the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 1984. Dr. Chez has also been certified in the new medical technologies of Prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy. Recently Dr. Chez was also certified in Aesthetic Medicine and now offers Botox Cosmetic and dermal filler injections at the Truckee office.
Dr. Chez is an avid skier, rock climber, and water-skier. He has extensive experience in Sports Medicine and injuries, having seen thousands of patients injured on the slopes and trails. With an onsite X-Ray facility, Dr. Chez has the ability to diagnose and quickly treat and/or refer an injured patient.
